BECKY
Becky is an avid volunteer, exercise enthusiast, expert baker, and exquisite cook. On the farm, she manages the wash/pack area. From washing and drying, to quality control and packing, she ensures every veggie that leaves the farm is in tip-top shape! Off the farm, she spends her time volunteering, running half-marathons, skiing and snowboarding, hanging out with loved ones, and cooking & baking.
We think she's pretty extroardinary and feel lucky to have her around! Oh, and she's also the farmer's mom.
As a self-proclaimed "greens lady", Becky prizes leaf lettuce as her favorite vegetable, for its tasty flavor and refreshing crunch!
the farmer
RYAN
Ryan is a lover of nature, food, healthy living, and good old-fashioned physical labor.
He found his love for growing and foraging food while living in Portland, OR, which sparked his journey in small-scale commercial agriculture. After working for three years on various farms in both Oregon and Michigan, he took the skills and knowledge he gleaned from his experiences to start growing food for his community in 2022 through the likes of Sweet Frond Farm.
When not growing food, he enjoys fermenting, cooking, bike riding, building things, cross-country skiing, snowboarding and surfing, when the occassion calls for it.
His favorite vegetable, currently, is the humble scallion. He likes them for their beauty, flavor and versatility in cooking.
